A Chemical Manufacturing Company is in need of an Electrical Engineer in a suburb near Austin, TX

Responsibilities of Electrical Engineer – Chemical Manufacturing Plant

Provide knowledge on key electrical equipment such as UPS systems, motors, switch gear, cables, high voltage systems and generators.
Provide recommendations in decisions effecting the reliability and safety of electrical systems and equipment
Aid and communicate with maintenance workers regarding repairs and upkeep of facility equipment.
Assess equipment using available technology and identify methods for resolving problems that arise in on-line testing.
Help test and commission new equipment.
Check operating equipment periodically for regulatory compliance

Qualifications and Knowledge of Electrical Engineer – Chemical Manufacturing Plant
B.S. in Electrical Engineering
Possess a strong grasp of basic electrical engineering design and procedures
Proficient in basic computer software (Microsoft Office etc.)
Have at least 5 years of experience in electronic design and assembly processes of electronic circuit technology
Background in documenting and applying engineering project procedures.
Possess experience in repairing, designing, and testing of electronic systems.
5 years of experience in Operations and Maintenance
Project / work experience in a contractual environment.

While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision
This position is required to work in a manufacturing environment facility. When in the plant, the worker is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Hard hats, steel toe safety shoes, and safety glasses are required in all production areas.
