Manufacturing Engineer – Large Automotive Manufacturer
A major automotive parts manufacturing company in the metro Atlanta area is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with strong automotive manufacturing experience.

Here’s what you will do:
-Implement measures for continuous improvement of production processes including increased Quality and profit margins
-Collect data on production efficiency such as scrap rate, labor, down time etc.
-Minimize scrap and labor waste by analyzing production data collected and rectifying source of waste
-Troubleshoot production equipment, processes, materials, and tooling
-Train staff on equipment maintenance, operation, safety guidelines, and company rules
-Participate in New Product Development with product trials, modification, and quoting
-Procure and fabricate new tooling, production equipment, fixtures, and gauges
-Other duties assigned as needed
Here’s what you will need:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
-3+ years minimum required experience
-Automotive experience required
-Excellent analytical ability, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
-Excellent leadership and communication skills
-Certification and Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma
-Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision
This position is required to work in a manufacturing environment facility. When in the plant, the worker is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Hard hats, steel toe safety shoes, and safety glasses are required in all production areas.
