Injection Molding Engineer
A manufacturing company in the Fort Payne, AL area is looking for an Injection Molding Engineer:
Responsibilities for Injection Molding Engineer
-Coordinate, plan and budget for production projects that utilize injection molding
-Oversee molding technicians and operators during projects
-Troubleshoot issues with injection molds and other faulty components
-Use measurement tools such as calipers and pin gages to check parts dimensions and quality
-Interface with customers, updating on project timelines, troubleshooting issues, etc.
-Coordinate documentation for quality of new products
Requirements for Injection Molding Engineer
-Background in plastic injection molding
-Automotive parts manufacturing experience is preferred
-Detail-oriented and ability to lead
-Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
This position is sometimes required to work in a manufacturing environment facility. When in the plant, the worker is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Hard hats, steel toe safety shoes, and safety glasses are required in all production areas.
